Boys & Girls Club of Richland County Announce Staff Changes

The Boys & Girls Club of Richland County has served nearly 1,000 Club members over the last 11 years. Limited space has had the club contracting its programs at a time when its services are in greater demand — until now.

Strong local support from donors is allowing the Boys & Girls Club of Richland County to expand its staff to deliver stronger and expanded programming for area youth. Club board president Tim Fine and Sidney Superintendent of Schools Daniel Farr are jointly announcing the appointment of long-time business education teacher Elaine Stedman as the new Boys & Girls Club CEO.

The club board is excited to have Stedman lead a team in developing club programming to serve teens with special events while strengthening mentoring for the club’s younger members. Mentoring is a strong component of programming and one of the reasons the founding board of directors determined a Boys & Girls Club would best serve local youth.

Continuing a strong collaborative relationship with schools, Stedman fullfilled her teaching contract through May 2016 at which time she will joined the rest of the staff full time at the club.

The club has also hired Janelle Buxbaum as the Operational Program Manager. She will oversee and direct the various programs at the club.

Ethan Hoffman is the new  program coordinator and will work with the Operational Program Manager in the daily program activities.

Cindy Wagner was hired in August of 2015 as the Club's Executive Assistant and helps out with the day to day operations of the office.

Strong capital campaign progress will help build a dedicated clubhouse. Meanwhile, Central Elementary School will continue to host the after-school program and now the summer program.
