CEO:  Elaine Stedman

Elaine was born and raised in Billings, graduating from Billings Senior High. After high school, she attended Montana State University, graduating with a double major in Business Education and French. She began her teaching career in Sidney after graduation and retired after 37 years in the spring of 2016. Her teaching career was spent teaching business education and/or French at both the middle and high school levels as well as serving as an adjunct professor for Dawson Community College and Miles Community College and teaching online courses through the Montana Digital Academy. She obtained her master’s degree in Technology Education in 2002 through Lesley University. Elaine began her involvement with the Boys & Girls Club of Richland County in 2011, serving on the board for several years before assuming the role of CEO in June 2015. In addition to her role as CEO of BGC, Elaine also is a member of Kiwanis, active in Business Professionals of America at the local, state, and national levels, and is President-Elect of Western Business Education as well as serving on a variety of community committees and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Executive Assistant:  Cindy Wagner

Cindy was raised on a farm at Hope, ND, a small town just outside of Fargo. She graduated from North Dakota State University with a teaching degree in Home Economics Education along with 3 minor degrees and began teaching in Sidney in 1977.  During her career in Sidney she picked up an additional degree in library science and then a masters degree in technology education from Lesley University in 2002.  After 37 years of teaching in Sidney, she retired as the middle school librarian in the spring of 2014 and took some time off to travel with her husband.  She is married to Tim, a retired pharmacist, and they have raised three children in Sidney. Cindy and her husband have 6 grandchildren and enjoy traveling and riding motorcycles.

Operational Program Manager: 
Janelle Buxbaum

Janelle was raised in Sidney, MT and graduated from Sidney High School in 2010. She attended MSU Billings after graduation and studied elementary education and psychology. After living in Billings for 5 years, she moved back to Sidney to be closer to her family. Janelle previously worked at the Boys and Girls Club in high school as a Program Aide. She enjoys outdoor activities, playing softball, and her dog Tucker. 
 

PROGRAM MANAGER:  ETHAN HOFFMAN

Ethan Hoffman was raised in Sidney and graduated from The University of Montana with a B.A. Degree in Psychology. He has worked in the past in Sidney as a life guard and has taught swimming lessons to children ages 4 to 15 and has practiced first aid for emergency situations.  Ethan has also coached youth sports since he was in high school, including basketball, baseball, and soccer with ages ranging from 10 to 19 years of age.  He has also coached a Special Olympics Adult Basketball team along with a few events in Track and Field.  During college breaks Ethan came home and spent time working for the school system as a substitute teacher.  We welcome Ethan as part of the programming team for this year!!

IAN WALKER:  AMERICORPS VOLUNTEER

Ian is our new AmeriCorps volunteer and will be serving the Boys and Girls Club of Richland County for this year! He will be helping out here at the Club daily working with the current programs and beginning some new ones as well.  Some of the new programs he will be working with include the Science Action Club and Write Brain, along with overseeing the Backpack Food program in cooperation with Richland County Schools.  Ian is originally from a small town in Illinois and has recently returned from the Peace Corps after service in Zambia where he taught rural farmers how to build and maintain fish ponds.  Ian signed up for the AmeriCorps Service to continue serving our community of the U.S. and has been given the opportunity to help students learn about and access college education with Boys and Girls Club.  Ian wants to thank the community of Sidney which has extended open arms by being warm and welcoming, and very much like his own home!  We welcome Ian to Sidney and the Boys and Girls Club of Richland County!ew Paragraph

Amanda Bushlen - VISTA Volunteer 

Amanda is our VISTA volunteer here at the Club for the summer camps!  She is a graduate of St. Andrew's High School in Helena, Montana.  Amanda studied Elementary Education at the University of Montana - Western in Dillon, earning an Associates and Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. She will be working with the kids during each of the different camps this summer and is excited to be a part of the team! Amanda's interests include hiking, camping, reading and knitting!  Welcome Amanda to Sidney and to the Boys and Girls Club of Richland County!
